grainbag.com is the on line gallery of artist Michael Leahy. The site was launched in 2001 and served as a web based gallery for an international roster of artists until 2006 when the site was re-purposed as the the personal web site of founder and curator Michael Leahy.

Currently, the site serves as a studio marketplace and retrospective portfolio of artwork created by Michael Leahy. Artwork available for sale on this site will be accompanied by a Pay Pal button for your convenience and security. While this current incarnation of the site is still dedicated to the commerce of artwork, it intends equally to indulge the good humor of the artist.

Michael Leahy's work can be classified into threee primary categories: assemblage, ceramics and collage. Assemblage and collage have been the most organic mediums, culled from modern pop culture and refuse. The ceramic art on display was created during a three year work study in the studio of artists James Shipman and Edward Eberle. Eventually musical contributions will be added from Leahy's work with the collective Shits on Hand Ensemble, the band Americonski as well as personal home recordings under the moniker Land Grab.
